Speech-language pathologists or Speech and Language Therapists address people's speech production, vocal production, swallowing difficulties and language needs through speech. They also identify, define, and diagnose disorders of human communication and swallowing and assist in localization and diagnosis of diseases and conditions.
Communication includes speech (articulation, intonation, rate, intensity), language (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics), both receptive and expressive language (including reading and writing), and non-verbal communication such as facial expression and gesture. Swallowing problems managed under speech therapy are problems in the oral, laryngeal, and/or pharyngeal stages of swallowing.
Depending of the nature and severity of the disorder, common treatments may range from physical strengthening exercises, instructive or repetitive practice and drilling, to the use of audio-visual aids and introduction of strategies to facilitate functional communication. Speech therapy may also include sign language and the use of picture symbols.

To learn what foods are best for their conditions, patients meet with a nutritionist. A nutritionist is a health specialist who devotes professional activity to food and nutritional science, preventive nutrition, diseases related to nutrient deficiencies, and the use of nutrient manipulation to enhance the clinical response to human diseases. They may also advise people on dietary matters relating to health, well-being and optimal nutrition.
Psycho-Social Counseling : -
Psycho-Social Counseling is the process of restoration of community functioning and wellbeing of an individual who has a psychiatric disability (been diagnosed with a mental disorder). Rehabilitation work undertaken by psychiatrists, social workers and other mental health professionals (psychologists and social workers, for example) seeks to effect changes in a person's environment and in a person's ability to deal with their environment, so as to facilitate improvement in symptoms or personal distress.
Psycho-social counseling aims to boost the morale and motivate patients. The counseling provides assistance, information, support, and counseling to help patients with their families, their emotional wellness, and quality of life. Social workers are available to aid in the recovery of patients.
Psychiatric rehabilitation services may include: supported accommodation, supported employment or education, medication management, housing, employment, family issues, and coping skills and activities of daily living and socializing.
Clinical Psychology : -
Clinical psychology includes the scientific study and application of psychology for the purpose of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychologically-based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well-being and personal development.
Clinical psychology may be confused with psychiatry, which generally has similar goals (e.g. the alleviation of mental distress), but is unique in that psychiatrists are physicians with medical degrees. As such, they tend to focus on medication-based solutions, although some also provide psychotherapeutic services as well. In practice, clinical psychologists often work in multidisciplinary teams with other professionals such as psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
To help patients cope with the psychological impact of the disease, a clinical psychologist is available to assist patients amidst the fears, doubts, and confusion of dealing with their disease.
Pain and Palliative Care : -
It aims at enabling people to live with their disease as free of symptoms and psychological problems as possible. The service offers support to patients with diseases such as cancer, chronic progressive pulmonary disorders, renal diseases, chronic heart failure, AIDS, or progressive neurological conditions.
To establish an understanding of an individual's pain, health-care practitioners will typically try to establish certain characteristics of the pain: site, onset and offset, character, radiation, associated symptoms, time pattern, exacerbating and ameliorating factors and severity.
By using the gestalt of these characteristics, the source or cause of the pain can often be established. A complete diagnosis of pain will require also a look at the patient's general condition, symptoms, and history of illness or surgery. The physician may order blood tests, X-rays, scans, EMG, etc. The rehabilitation center may also investigate the person's psychosocial history and situation.
Palliative care is any form of medical care or treatment that concentrates on reducing the severity of disease symptoms, rather than halting or delaying progression of the disease itself or providing a cure. The goal is to prevent and relieve suffering and to improve quality of life for people facing serious, complex illness. While palliative care may seem to offer an incredibly broad range of services the goals of palliative treatment are extremely concrete: relief from suffering, treatment of pain and other distressing symptoms, psychological and spiritual care, a support system to help the individual live as actively as possible, and a support system to sustain and rehabilitate the individual's family.
In- Patient Facility : -
The in-patient facility assists in the rehabilitation of disabled persons through and integrated program of medical and other services.
Homeopathy : -
Homeopathy boasts of tremendous powers as a system of medicine. It is much safer, deeper acting and has much longer lasting results by energizing the body's curative powers.
Homeopathy regards diseases and sickness to be caused by disturbances in a vital force or life force in humans and that these disturbances manifest themselves in a variety of symptoms. Homeopathy contends that the vital force has the ability to react and adapt to internal and external causes, which homeopaths refer to as the "law of susceptibility". The law of susceptibility states that a negative state of mind can attract hypothetical disease entities that invade the body and produce symptoms of diseases.
Homeopaths generally begin with detailed examinations of their patients' histories, including questions regarding their physical, mental and emotional states, their life circumstances and any physical/emotional illnesses. The homeopath then attempts to translate this information into a complex formula of mental and physical symptoms, including likes, dislikes, innate predispositions and even body type. The goal is to develop a comprehensive representation of each individual's overall health. This information can then be compared with similar lists in the drug proving. Assisted by further dialogues with the patient, the homeopath then aims to find the one drug most closely matching the symptoms of the patient.
A personalized treatment program is designed and tuned to meet the body's unique needs. The specialists make a thorough assessment of your body constitution before prescribing a comprehensive program. This millennia old treatment with exotic herbs and oils made from organic and natural sources nourishes and rejuvenates the entire body.
Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Hindu system of health care that is native to the Indian subcontinent. Ayurveda operates on the precept that various materials of vegetable, animal, and mineral origin have some medicinal value. The medicinal properties of these materials have been documented by the practitioners and have been used for centuries to cure illness and/or help maintain good health. Ayurvedic medicaments are made from herbs or mixtures of herbs, either alone or in combination with minerals, metals and other ingredients of animal origin. The metals, animals and minerals are purified by individual processes before being used for medicinal purposes.
